Who We Are
-
We take a community-led, practical approach to supporting autistic children and their families. Everything we do is shaped by lived experience, professional insight, and a belief that meaningful support must extend beyond the child to include the whole network around them.
We focus on creating spaces where families feel understood, informed, and connected. That means sharing accessible resources, building supportive relationships, and helping families navigate systems that are often complex and overwhelming.
We also work to bridge gaps between home, education, healthcare, and wider community services. By bringing together parents, carers, educators, specialists, and local organisations, we aim to create consistent, joined-up support that actually reflects real life.
At the heart of our approach is respect for individuality. No two children are the same, and no two families follow the same path. Our role is to support, advocate, and stand alongside families as they find what works for them.

We recognise that every family’s experience is unique. We listen without judgement and centre lived experience in everything we do.Advocacy
We stand alongside families to amplify their voices and support them in navigating systems that are often difficult to access or understand.Integrity
We are committed to honesty, transparency, and consistency in how we show up for the people we serve.Practical Support
We focus on what makes a real difference in everyday life. Our goal is not just awareness, but meaningful, usable support that families can rely on. -
The Unique Puzzle Pack began in 2008, born out of both love and necessity.
When my granny’s grandson was born with autism, she found herself in a position many families will recognise: wanting to help, but struggling to find clear, accessible information and practical support. As a grandmother, she was deeply invested in understanding how best to support him. As an experienced and successful nurse, she also brought years of clinical knowledge, care, and observation skills to the situation.
Even with that background, she found that the resources available were often fragmented, difficult to navigate, or not grounded in the realities families were living every day. That gap stayed with her.
What began as a personal search for understanding slowly developed into something bigger: a commitment to make information, support, and community more accessible for other families walking a similar path.
In 2008, she founded The Unique Puzzle Pack to bring together families, professionals, and communities in a way that felt practical, compassionate, and real. What started as one family’s journey has grown into a lasting network of support built on shared experience, advocacy, and connection.
At its heart, the organisation still carries the same intention it began with: no family should have to navigate autism alone or without the tools they need to feel confident, informed, and supported.
